Goddess Interrupted

Goddess Interrupted - Aimee Carter Goddess Interrupted is an emotional drainer, that's for sure. I honestly felt as if one moment I was up and the next I came crashing down. Aimee knocked this sequel out of the park. I think it's even better than the first! We start off with Kate returning to Eden Manor from her six months away with James. Kate is instantly thrown into the chaos of the underworld and the cold shoulder from her husband, Henry. But, after a powerful evil threatens all she loves, Kate decides to enlist the help of the last person she wants to see... Persephone. Welcome to the world of the Gods, Kate.I really enjoyed The Goddess Test, but Goddess Interrupted blew me away. The way that Aimee has modernized all of the ancient Gods, is just phenomenal. But, that's not all Aimee succeeded in doing. This book, I promise you, will pull at your emotions. The angry ones, the jealous ones, the happy ones, and everything in between. It's one magical and thrilling journey.Every characters also grows in some way. Whether it's Kate showing more of her strength and growing into her role of living in the Underworld. Or if it's learning something about the characters we already know and love. Which I admit, I fell even more in love with Henry and James in this one. I may have hated them both at some point in the book... but came back to adoring them. I told you... emotional roller coaster! That brings me to mention Persephone. I went into this book knowing, or at least expecting, I'd hate her. And, I will say at some points I wanted to kick her in the shins. But, over all you really cannot completely hate her. She plays a vital role in Goddess Interrupted and it's just yet another thing to love about the story.Overall, I loved this story. There's so many perfect quotes. There's a cute dog named Pogo who I love! There's so many emotional strings pulled while Kate is on her thrilling journey. And, there's even twists and turns and sexiness I wasn't expecting but absolutely loved every moment! The ending of Goddess Interrupted is definitely a stunner and it's obvious that I cannot wait to read The Goddess Inheritance!
