"Do you want me to be dangerous?" he asked, his voice husky and low.
I gulped, and for a moment I was incapable of speech. But he was quiet, waiting. "No. I don't."
"Then I'm not dangerous at all," he murmured. His gaze moved from my eyes to my mouth. "You've never been safer than you are at this moment." I shivered as his breath tickled my skin. Our lips were mere millimeters apart when the sky shattered in a kaleidoscope of colored light.

We didn’t know how much we had to lose until we were infected with magic. Sam was in love, Juliette was the main caretaker for her siblings, and Ana and her dad planned the best parties in New York. But we lost it all when we were shipped to Chebeague, an exclusive school for newly infected mages.

Everyone knows about the mages, those who survive the infection and end up with magical abilities. We’ve seen the power of magic, the high-paying jobs, and the world fame. But we never saw the cost. We didn’t know we’d be forced to give up everything: sanity, family, even the right to talk on the phone.

We didn’t know mage was just another word for prisoner.

Tour Schedule

Witchling ( Curse of Kin #1) by: Ari Harper
Series: Curse of Kin #1
Released: November 29th 2012
Publisher: Lycaon/Breathless Press
Links: Goodreads | Amazon

Synopsis: Nera is a normal teenage girl living in Ireland-or so she thought. Her world is forever changed when she discovers that she is descended from a long line of witches. To her horror she finds she is the one that is supposed to stop the curse that has taken the life of every girl before her. As if that isn't enough, she must learn to use magic and her trainer is a man named Bones. He is the son of Mari, Queen of the Witches, and a god. It is Bones that has been entrusted to teach her the skills she needs to stay alive, which wouldn't be so bad if he didn't have an uncanny knack for pushing her buttons. Can Nera learn what she needs while staying immune to the charms of the man that gets under her skin at every opportunity?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Ari Harper never wanted to grow up. To offset the limitations of aging ungracefully, she created her own set of unique worlds where she can be and do whatever she wants.

Gods, witches and demons surround Ari while she spins her magic, doing mainly what they tell her to do. Given a chance, she prefers to work amongst chaos, which is good because she is constantly surrounded by children, all clamoring for attention. Some of them end up in her stories, some of them even get to die grisly deaths or be cast away to another realm.

Review: No Reverse by Marion Croslydon

No Reverse

A girl who needs to undo the past.
A boy who wants to forget it.
In love, there’s no way back.

At high school in Steep Hill, Kansas, Cassie O’Malley and Josh MacBride were the poster couple for quarterback/cheerleader romance until they starred in their own tale of teen pregnancy. No need to say: their shotgun wedding was low-key. But when there was no baby anymore, they went their separate ways.

Five years later, Josh has breezed through Georgetown and is about to finish his post-grad degree at Oxford University. He is set to join a lobbying group on Capitol Hill, owned by his new fiancée’s father. For Josh, the sky is now the limit… only he must first take care of a tiny legal matter: technically, he’s still married to the girl who broke his heart.

Meanwhile, Cassie has been waiting tables in Steep Hill to pay for her sick grandmother’s care. On the day of the old lady’s funeral, Cassie is served with two sets of papers. Josh is asking for a divorce. Her heart squeezes, but, well, he moved on a long time ago. But the second envelope shakes Cassie to the core. So, for the first time, she leaves Kansas and heads to good ol’ England.

There, Cassie finds that Josh has not just “moved on,” he’s freakin’ engaged to some blue-blooded heiress. The feelings Cassie had buried deep rush back to her. But no matter if he keeps thrusting the divorce papers under her nose, she needs him to save the only person she loves more than Josh, more than life itself…

When I first read the blurb to No Reverse a couple of months ago I knew that I would devour this book. It seemed like my kind of book and I could not wait to read it. The second I got my hands on a copy of No Reverse I dived right into it and did not come out of it until the very last word.

Cassie and Josh have been added to my favorite couples list. They were high school sweet hearts who believed they would be together until they were both old and shriveled. Then of course things go south for the both of them.

Josh is my favorite character in this book. I liked Cassie, but loved Josh a lot more. Cassie at times really got on my nerves and if she were real I’d probably slap some sense into her. I understood all her motives and reasons, but I really disliked her for at least half of the book. I found her to be a bit whiny and immature at times. It wasn't until near the end of the book that I was able to truly connect with her and get a feel for her.

I will say though, Marion Croslydon did an excellent job distinguishing both Cassie and Josh. Sometimes when reading two different points of views in a story it can feel like the same character; that is not the case with No Reverse. That was another thing I enjoyed about it.

Josh was such a romantic and so swoon worthy. The way he loves Cassie was super sweet and sort of like The Notebook. He has a new life, new love, and has accepted the fact that Cassie is his past. Then she storms in and throws his entire world off track. His struggles with his feelings were so heartbreaking. He loves Cassie, always has and he really feels he can’t let her go a second time.

I want to jump back into this book again just for Josh. I am sure you can tell that I relished this story. Despite the little issues I had with it, I think it’s definitely a Good Choice for Reading. It’s a fast read and great for a day out at the beach.

Here is a teaser I had to share on Instagram while reading No Reversehttp://instagram.com/p/cVeyunKF_S/

That scene has to be one of my favorites!!!
